In this quick episode, How To Show Folders’s Path in the Titlebar of Finder.

Straight to the demo.

Soooooo, Let’s Get Started.

Finder has an option to show a Folder’s path at the bottom of the Finder Window, as shown here.

However; if you prefer to display the Path in the Titlebar of Finder, simply open Terminal and enter the following two one line commands:

defaults write com.apple.finder _FXShowPosixPathInTitle -bool Yes

Show Folders’s Path on Titlebar of Finder Window
Followed by the following command to relaunch Finder:

killall Finder

As you can see, the Finder Window now displays the path of a Folder’s location in the Titlebar.

To revert back, simply enter the same command, replacing YES with NO, and the same command to relaunch Finder.

And that’s all there is to it.
