TRANSCRIPT:
OS X makes use of the Option key in a variety of ways. I'll just demonstrate my Top 5 that I have found useful.
1: Apple logo:
Hold down the Option Key Before or After clicking on the Apple Logo to display the System Information.
2: Menulets:
When Active, some menulets, not all, like the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Sound, 23 in total, displays additional information when holding down the Option key and click on a menulet.
3: Notification:
Hold down the Option key and click on the Notification Bars here, to Enable or Disable Do Not Disturb for Notifications.
4: Window Edge Dragging:
Hold down the Option Key while dragging to resize the opposite edge of the Window simultaneously.
5: Dock:
Press Option-Command-D keys to Hide or Unhide the Dock.
And that's all there is to it.
