In this 60 seconds quick tips episode, we'll be showing how to express yourself with Emoji on Mac running OS X Mavericks.

With time a wasting...

Let's Get Started.

Perhaps you are familiar and use those Emojis, Smileys or Special Characters that are found on the keyboard of your iOS devices when pressing on the Globe symbol, well in Mavericks, these characters are now more easily accessible then when using Mountain Lion.

Basically; anywhere you have a text field, like in, Reminders, Messages, Notes, Pages, Keynotes etc, you are able to insert those special character by pressing the following keyboard shortcut:

control-command-space bar
⌃ ⌘ Space Bar

Once pressed, the Special Characters panel pops up, where you are able to choose the Emoji to add.

How To Use Emoji On Mac
After selecting a character, the panel closes automatically, If you find that you need to insert more than one character, then simply detach the panel as shown and select the characters of choice.
