OS X Mavericks Tabs

The Ultimate desktop experience. OS X Mavericks has included a cool feature in Finder, that allows you to merge all open Finder Windows into Tabs.

The video above shows a quick demo on using the "Merge All Windows" function in Finder. Getting rid of all the clutter on your desktop could not be more simple.

In this Episode, I'll be showing How To Use Tabs in Mavericks.

Have you ever found yourself repeatedly closing several Finder Windows in order to get rid of all the clutter on your desktop, and then having to re-open and re-navigate to the folders where you left off, as shown here. As I'm sure you'll agree, this can become a bit monotonous.

Wouldn't it be nice to merge all Opened Windows into a set of Tabs. Well there's a cool feature in Mavericks that allows you to do just that.

---- Now For A DEMO ----
Say you have several Finder Windows opened with different view settings and locations as shown here...

To get rid of all the clutter on your desktop, Mavericks has added a cool feature in Finder that allows you to merge all windows into Tabs.

simply click Window on the Finder menubar then click Merge All Windows. And that's all there is to it.

Using Tabs in OS X Mavericks
As you can see...Each Tab have maintain the same view settings and locations as before.

You can also create a new Tab in Finder by pressing the Plus Button here or using the keyboard shortcut Command+T, then choose location for the Tab.

Files and Folders can also be copied from one Tabbed location to another....as shown here.

Incidentally;
Tab can be assigned to a Folder in the following ways...by either pressing Control+click or right-click with the mouse or tap on the Trackpad with two fingers.

And Finally...Finder can now be opened in Full Screen By clicking here or by using the keyboard shortcut to Enter or Exit Full Screen....Control+Command+F

And that's all there is to it, working with Tabs in Mavericks couldn't be more simple.
