TRANSCRIPT:
In this episode, How To Airplay or Airplay Mirror Content From iOS 7 Devices to Apple TV.
Sooooo, Let’s Get Started
With Airplay, you are able to do one of two things, either use Airplay to stream video and photo content from your iOS 7 device to your Apple TV while still using other apps or Use Airplay to mirror exactly what’s on your iOS device to your Apple TV.
For example, when viewing photos on your iPad, simply tap on the share button and then tap on the Airplay button to view them on the Apple TV, or, when viewing a video using an app like YouTube or your favourite browser, tap on the Airplay icon that appears on the video player and which is only visible if you have an Apple TV. The Airplay icon turns blue when video is streamed to your Apple TV, while still being able to launch other apps on the iPad to take notes.
Alternatively, use Airplay to Mirror exactly what’s on your iOS 7 device to you Apple TV. Basically any app that you open on the iOS 7 device is mirrored to the Apple TV.
To do so, swipe upwards from the bottom of your iOS screen to display Control Center and tap on Airplay then select Apple TV and slide the button to Mirror your device on the Apple TV.
Demo time.
In this demo, I’ll just use Airplay on an iPad to stream photo and video content to the Apple TV.
Then I’ll use Airplay mirror to display exactly what’s on my iPad to the Apple TV. Run apps and even play Airplay supported games like Metalstorm Online, to have a dual screen experience.
And that’s all there is to it, use Airplay to seamlessly stream or mirror you iOS 7 devices to the Apple TV.
