How To Use Mac Preview Magnifier

Preview Magnifier, a cool tool when using OS X Preview. Magnify sections of your graphic files or PDF document.

The basics, in Preview, To Zoom an entire PDF or Graphic File in or out, is by pressing View from the Preview menu bar and selecting Zoom In or Zoom Out, or pressing the following keystroke combinations, cmd plus to zoom in, or cmd minus to zoom out.

But what If you wanted to Magnify only a particular section, well Preview has a cool Tool that allows you to do just that.

Press Tools from menu bar and select Show Magnifier or use the keyboard shortcut, by pressing the key with the following symbol `, to activate or deactivate the magnifier.

How To Use Mac Preview Magnifier
A round magnifier is shown when viewing Graphic files, and a Rectangle magnifier when viewing PDF Documents.

Pressing the plus Or minus keys, zooms the Magnified section in or out.

Better still, on a PDF Form, the magnifier automatically resizes when hovering over columns and paragraphs

And that's all there is to it.
